Kymberly Johnson, President

Walnut Creek, CA

Charles Rotenberry, Immediate Past President

Pittsburg, CA

Charles is a musical theatre enthusiast with a 10-year background in both interior design and banking. His early experience in musical and Shakespearian theatre has made him adept in costume creations, hair and make-up, as well as set design. Charles' relationship with DTC began in 2010 as a parent and volunteer. He later joined the Board in 2015 as a parent advocate.

Missy Hunter, Vice President

Walnut Creek, CA

Missy graduated with a degree in English from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1992. She worked at advertising agencies in LA and Chicago early in her career before coming home to SF. Missy's background includes working in public affairs at a Fortune 5 corporation. She currently works as a freelance writer and marketing consultant for small businesses. Missy resides in Walnut Creek with her husband and two kids.

 

Bruce H. Jewett, Treasurer

Walnut Creek, CA

Bruce currently resides in Walnut Creek, CA. He has been an airline pilot for United Airlines since the beginning of 1991.  He currently is a captain on the Boeing 757 and 767 flying from San Francisco International airport to many destinations around the world. Bruce has a four year degree in accounting with a specialization in small business taxation. He has been working with small businesses for over 30 years and nonprofit organizations for over 15 years both in organizational as well as tax planning and preparation roles with his family’s accounting business. He will bring this expertise to the Board of Directors of SingOut! His daughter Kristina’s love for song and musical theater, including her involvement with Youth Theatre Company, is the driving motivation behind his desire to help this new company continue to bring the outstanding quality and experience Kristina had over the last few years to other children for many years to come.

Alison Cocotis, Secretary

Lafayette, CA

Alison Stewart Cocotis graduated with B.A. in political science from UC Berkeley and a J.D. in 1993 from U.C. Davis School of Law, where she was an Executive Editor of the U.C. Davis Law Review and a contributing writer to the Environs Environmental Law and Policy Journal.  She practiced environmental law for ten years both for private firms and as a deputy city attorney for the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office.  She is married with three children. 

Ginny Stofer, Director

Walnut Creek, CA

Ginny graduated from CSU, Sacramento with a degree in Liberal Studies. She also holds a Master in Education from Notre Dame de Namur University, Belmont. Her daughter’s love of theatre prompted her to become more involved in the SingOut family.  Ginny currently resides in Walnut Creek with her 2 children. 

Katie Berryhill, Director

Lafayette, CA

Katie Berryhill is an adjunct professor of astronomy at Los Medanos College, Solano Community College, and Las Positas College. She holds a bachelor’s in astronomy from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s in space studies from the University of North Dakota, and a doctorate in science education from the University of Wyoming. With her husband, she owns and operates Berryhill Computer Forensics, Inc. and Forge Ahead Designs. Her daughter, Deanna, has been a proud member of SingOut! Kids Theatre, Junior Theatre, and now Teen Theatre.

Heather Fontanilla, Director

Walnut Creek, CA

Heather Fontanilla obtained her BA in History, emphasis 20th Century Civil Rights, from UC Davis.  Heather then received her JD from McGeorge School of Law.  After practicing law in both Southern California and San Francisco, she got the opportunity to teach US History and Government/Economics at Mt. Diablo High School in Concord and she found her passion.  She was the lead teacher in the Digital Safari Academy, a California Partnership Academy for 16 years.  The program targeted at risk students and  integrated the career technical class of Multimedia with English and Social Studies.  The cornerstone of the program was project based learning and Heather led the development of successful projects.  While in the program, Heather earned her educational doctorate in Organizational Leadership.  Subsequently, she moved into administrative roles within Mt. Diablo Unified School District, serving as a Vice Principal for a year and then moving into her current position.  Heather is the Administrator over the Career Pathway programs for the district. She supports the different career pathways and manages multiple grants that fund the pathways.  She also oversees the College Now program, a middle college program in partnership with Diablo Valley College.  The program serves 11th and 12th grade students who want to try an alternative education program where they take high school and college classes.  Heather lives in Walnut Creek with her husband Geoff, her children Max (23) and Sofi (10), and her bulldog Darla.  Sofi has been part of Sing Out for the last three years and wants to follow this passion to Broadway!
